The Client Brief
The client was looking to renovate their kitchen and laundry area, with a focus on creating a modern and functional open-plan design. This will involve removing walls and combining the two spaces, as well as adding a kitchen island for increased functionality.
The Challenge
The challenge involved relocating the laundry to the end of the kitchen, requiring structural engineering and strata approval. Plumbing presented a difficulty due to neighbouring units, and the floor and ceiling had to be worked around.
The Design Solution
Kitchenkraft proposed a new L-shaped kitchen design with a central island and suggested incorporating built-in cabinetry with bifold shaker-style doors to hide the laundry appliances.
The Result
The renovation at Cremorne successfully created a more functional kitchen and laundry space by adding a kitchen island, a larger laundry area, and a breakfast bar seating area. The open-plan living area made the apartment appear more spacious, enhancing its overall look and feel.
